I did this: Activate the XML sitemap functionality
I expected the plugin to do this: include only published content in the sitemap
Instead it did this: Include *all* media files from my medial library, including images belonging to posts in "draft" status, as well as unlinked imaged (left intentionally unlinked to i.e. their attachment page).
Why is this bad? The unpublished media appearing in my content is not crawlable (404), and rightly so. It should not be accessible from my sitemap.
Can someone help me out with a way around this issue? And Yoast, perhaps this is a good issue to fix with your following update?
