Jeroen T. on "[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] WPML & Yoast SEO canonical link issue"

WPML handles duplicated (non translated) cloned pages correctly by adding a canonical link towards the original page. Example:

site.org/page/ (original) > canonical link: none
site.org/es/page/ (duplicate of original) > canonical link: site.org/page/
site.org/ru/page/ (duplicate of original) > canonical link: site.org/page/
site.org/nl/page/ (translated) > canonical link: none

Perfect, but after installing the SEO plugin from Yoast all the pages canonical links, link towards themselves. Like:

site.org/page/ (original) > canonical link: site.org/page/
site.org/es/page/ (duplicate of original) > canonical link: site.org/es/page/
site.org/ru/page/ (duplicate of original) > canonical link: site.org/ru/page/
site.org/nl/page/ (translated) > canonical link: site.org/nl/page/

This will cause duplicate content because the canonical link isn't referring to the original page. How to fix this.
