Snippet editor not saving

I am using SEO yoast for the first time. Tried updating the SEO Search Title & Meta Descriptions for each page. Two pages the input saved fine. For all other 10 pages the information would not save. There is no save button, you just exit snippet editor. But when I go back into the page to check them, it has returned to the original text. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
