CraftedGenius on "[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Overwriting Homepage Meta Tags"

I've got a problem with this plugin where it will not overwrite the SEO 'things' for the homepage. Now, I know that my homepage is run with a mechanism called 'works' and believe this has something to do with the problem.
I have tried to find the exact 'work' that is used for the index but can't find it. I have SEO 'things' set out for the old home 'page' and thought the option to overrule would potentially resolve this. It didn't and I am still unable to make any optimizations for the homepage.
The theme I am using that utilises 'works' is Flare from themeforest. I have also posted a similar topic on their page to see if it is a problem that is their fault.
