It can take about 2 weeks for Google to re-index your site and display the new meta title and description. There is no guarantee that Google will use your description because it is an automated process. See more info here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35624?hl=en However, I find it usually honors meta tags and is updated within a week.
If it is a new website, to speed up the process you can submit an XML sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools. Your sitemap is automatically generated with Yoast Wordpress SEO. Just go to plugin menu click XML sitemap then click the button that says XML sitemap. Copy the URL from the page it takes you to and paste it in Google Webmaster Tools. Under the left navigation click Crawl and then Sitemaps then Click the red button on the far right and paste the link there.
If you want the page to be indexed faster in Google Webmaster Tools click Crawl then Fetch as Googlebot and paste apple-rtc/ and submit.
