Hello,
I manage a site that had already been indexed when I started working on it. I would like to remove all the tags and categories pages from Google index. What I did was to nonindex those pages by going to SEO -> Search Appearance -> Taxonomies and also submitted request for removal via Google Search Console several days ago.
I would like to know if this is the correct way or am I geting in Google’s way by nonindex those pages… Can nonindex prevent those pages (which already been crawled and indexed) to be removed?
