Hi
I have 4 websites (They’re 4 shopping centres with all the same page structure, and content – just the copy is different for each one). The first appears fine in Google, but the other 3 all have japanese writing instead of English or show a blank meta description.
I have tried to get Google to re-index them by submitting a sitemap, however when I try to submits Yoasts sitemap in Search Console I get a parsing error with the following messgae:
“We were unable to read your Sitemap. It may contain an entry we are unable to recognize. Please validate your Sitemap before resubmitting.”
I assume the sites were compromised (Due to the japanese writing and strange URls that Google found), but we have:
1. reverted the sites
2. updated all plugins (including Yoast)
3. updating wordpress
4. clearing cache
None of the has worked. How do I find what is wrong with the Yoast sitemap?
