How to delete Knowledge Panel created by Yoast

I have a huge issue where google pulls the information for a knowledge panel description from a subdomain and this is false and irritating my customers. Knowledge Panel is clearly made because of a yoast feature. You should make it clear that there is no option to delete a knowledge panel made by a yoast setting. So how to delete a knowledge panel created by your plugin?

Page content repeating multiple (around 20) times

Problem: If Yoast SEO plugin is turned on, the content of one of my pages gets repeated many, many times. The blocks also stop following the format they should have after the first display. It causes the sidebar to shoved to the bottom of the page.
Side notes: The page was designed with Elementor which is something my team cannot go without. It may be possible these two aren’t working together, but the other pages seem to be fine.

Yoast adding noindex tag when logged out

Hi,
Yoast is adding a noindex tag to our site’s product category pages, but only when logged out. It displays as:<meta name='robots' content='noindex, follow' />
But when logged in, it displays as:
<meta name='robots' content='index, follow, max-image-preview:large, max-snippet:-1, max-video-preview:-1' />
The product category pages are set to be indexed on both the taxonomy and page level, so I don’t understand why this is happening.
I’ve already tested and confirmed that when Yoast is deactivated, the meta tag turns into this regardless if I’m viewing it logged in or logged out:
<meta name='robots' content='max-image-preview:large' />
That said, I’m pretty certain that the issue is caused by Yoast.
Please let me know what to do to resolve this.

Random redirects on products admin page

Since a week ago i´m facing a weard problem with yoast seo.
When i go to edit a product : pe

I it opens a differt one. The url is still correct but the product on screen to edit is a different one. If i reload the page without changing the url then another different product appears. Is like a random redirection but keeping the url. If i modify the product the product i have on screen is saved overwritting the one of the URL making a complete mess.
Tried desactivating all plugins and this only happens with Yoast. I had premium installed but uninstalled it thinking redirection was a premium feature and maybe it will help , but it fails with free version also. Now i have to deactivate Yoast each time i need to edit products.
My actual version is 22.5 and checked via phpmyadmin Wp_options for yoast redirects but the ones i found were configured years ago and they are ok.
My page is primary a Woocommerce with Oxygenbuilder. I have Wp Rocket and Redis Object Cache. Already tryed to deactivate all of them before coming for support. It seems Yoast is the one causing the trouble or the combination of Yoast with other of the plugins.

Problems with archives

Hi,
some days ago several of my domains with WP installations were hacked.
My hoster was able to repair them all nearly up to 90%.
Now I have the following problem:
If I click on ‘Archives’ where normally I have to see a page with the content of two posts I get only a ‘not found’ page.
Someone told me this could be a problem Yoast SEO on my WP installation – I don’t know 😉
Does anyone knows the way to solve this problem?

Simple question related to structured data and schema type.

I recently noticed that there is a structured data and schema type option in my theme’s simple post settings, and it is enabled and set to articles.
However, I use Yoast, and it already has global settings for structured data and schema type, in addition to the possibility that I can change the schema type individually per post.
Should I disable this structured data/schema option for simple posts that comes with my theme?

automatically create redirects

We have a WordPress website with blog posts.
The URL structure is http://www.domainname.com/postname at this moment.
Because we want to create more structure in the website, we want to change the URL structure to:
http://www.domainname.com/category/postname
I know how to do this in the settings, but my question is if there is an easy way to create 301 redirects for all posts (a few hundred):
Like: http://www.domainname.com/postname should 301 redirect to http://www.domainname.com/category/postname
Without redirects I am afraid to lose the link value of all those posts, that now generate a lot of traffic.
If there is a way to prevent that I don’t have to create hundreds of 301 redirects manually, I would love to hear how to do that.

Remove automatic URL from Post Title

Dear all,
Please help me with this problem. At the end of all the meta titles of all my pages and posts (only on Mobile search results), a tag (luat-su) is automatically added as picture. I think this problem is related to my SEO plugins. I am using both Yoast Seo and Schema. Previously, it also automatically add my company name at the end. But that name is also not correct as I set up in Yoast and Schema and I changed it, now it appears as a tag.

Breaks Gutenberg’s iframe

Recently, I was building a theme using the last versions of Gutenberg, which since recently, embeds an iframe for the post editor, be it a desktop or mobile visualization. This allows for a better control over responsive, amongst other things.
The iframe is displayed if all blocks are using apiVersion 3 (see register blocks) and if there are no classic meta boxes.
Currently, if Yoast SEO is activated, the iframe is disabled. If I remove Yoast meta boxes, unregister Yoast blocks and unregister scripts (“yoast-seo-block-editor.js” and “yoast-seo-dynamic-blocks”), the iframe comes back.
It’s not so much of an issue on the desktop version, but the mobile version does not reflect at all the actual design (media queries not applied).
Is that issue known on your side, and do you plan to resolve it anytime soon ? For now, I can’t use Yoast anymore on block themes.

URL instead of site name in search engine results

Hello,
For many years my site title (website name) appeared properly in search engine results. Recently (after I reactivated Yoast), search engine results stopped showing the site name and instead show the URL of the site. This is despite the fact that the site name is properly stated in WordPress settings and Yoast settings.
Do you have any idea of the cause (and resolution!) for this problem?

I have an error on my sitemap pages. The folowing messages appears, but disapear momentarily when i empty the cache. But always comes back.
Do you know how i can solve it ? Maybe an incompatbility issue with Contact Form 7 and/or Multi Step for Contact Form 7 (Lite) plugins ?

Adding to the schema – examples not working

Hi all,
I am tring to add to the schema output as per the instructions here https://developer.yoast.com/features/schema/integration-guidelines/#2-how-do-i-connect-my-schema-to-yoasts
I am similarly looking to add review metadata into the schema. I can get the code to run on the page on the site ( I can see the code running with some added echo statements) but the extra metadata doesn’t get added to the output. This is with a straight copy and paste of the ‘Book’ example on that page.
Anyone any ideas?

Squirrly Migration Not Importing Meta Description

Hi team, I went through the Tools->Import from other SEO tools process, but I’m not getting the meta description imported.
- I deactivated Squirrly.
- Clicked Import.
- Cleared server and browser cache.
- No CDN on this staging site
When I check a post in the backend, the Yoast box under meta description is blank.
Any other steps I need to take?

SEO Strategy: Same content on 40 pages with slightly different keyword?

Hello, SEO Community!
We’re doing some work on one of our websites and started taking a look at one of our competitors. One of the strategies our competitor is employing is to have 40 or so pages, all unique urls, but using the same content except for a swap of the keyword for that particular page. So the competitor is using keywords like “Philadelphia name-of-service” and then “Cherry Hill name-of-service” and on and on for just about every city in the area.
If you go to any one of these pages, the words are identical, except they are swapping out the name of the city on each page.
I wanted to know if this is a strategy that search engines will “spot” and penalize or if this is a viable way to rank for many different keywords using the same content, as long as the original content is SEO-friendly in the first place.

Robots.txt is not available

I ran my weekly site audit for https://superbsalt.com on Ahrefs and got a message saying that my robots.txt file is not available. I also got a message from Google Ads, as I was applying for AdSense, to say that they also could not access the robots.txt file. However, the website is still visible on the web.
I have run a couple of checks through various website checkers and it looks like the robotos.txt file is okay and nothing is being blocked.
I also spoke to my hosting provider (Ionos) who said it is nothing at their end.
I removed the WP Optimise plugin that I recently downloaded to my WordPress site, and I also reinstalled a previous backup from a few days ago, but nothing seems to be working.
Any ideas people?

Meta titles & descriptions showing wrong WPML translation

Hi there,
I’m using WPML in combination with Yoast SEO. They have been working fine together, but it seems like there is a problem where some function is updating the Yoast SEO database with the wrong translation.
In the database the Dutch and German meta title & description are the same, but in the backend the Dutch translation is active in Yoast. After updating the page (without any changes) the problem is fixed. But in a few hours/days/weeks the problem comes back.
I have tried deactivating all plugins, but this does not seem to solve the issue. Also changing to a default theme does not resolve the issue. I feel like there is a plugin messing with the meta data, but I’m unable to find it. I have also tried making a debug log, but without success.
Any ideas on how to solve this issue?

menu icons appear in serp

We have a woocomerce site. Now we added icons to the different categories in the menu. After that google has started to show the menu icons instead of product images in our search engine results. We are using yoast premium and If I look at the schema for the different categories it looks fine and it mentions the 3 latest products and not the menu icons.

I have a very strange problem since a day ago, two YOAST Meta box consoles are broken!? I don’t seem to have found a solution (or seen in your forum search)

Unrecognised URL 404s

We are receiving some 404 errors on unrecognised URLs. Currently there are 31 items. Most of these are from unknown bots. One is from Bing and one from Google.

Canonical URL set to homepage for all posts

For our news website (Link), canonical URLs for all posts are pointing to the homepage URL, i.e. thetechportal.com. Ideally, all posts should have their own absolute URL as the canonical URL.

Featured Image Not Showing – Desktop & Mobile

I have read the previous threads and your article on snippet preview but can’t quite the answer I was looking for regarding issues with featured image in google search. I appreciate you can’t control what google does but is it normal for a featured image to stop populating on both mobile & desktop search?
Also my featured image is being populated in the Yoast snippet preview for mobile ONLY. Why does it not pull an image for desktop?
