Noindex URLs in sitemap

Hi!

Recently I am experiencing some issues with the sitemap.

1
Pages that have the noindex tag still show up in the sitemap.
For example: https://puresportswear.nl/mijn-account/

2
Newly created pages do not show up in the sitemap.
For example: https://puresportswear.nl/duurzame-sportkleding/sportshirts-dames/

Already tried:
– create new sitemap
– delete cache
– incognito mode

Can you help me out?

Many thanks!

Static page assigned as Blog, not showing correct canonical URLs

Hi there.
We look after a number of websites, mostly using one particular theme.
The problem is, none of the paginated pages within the Blog are canonicalised correctly. they all go to {domain}/blog/.

So it appears that Google isn’t seeing the content, as it is not indexing it.

We use WP Bakery and the Blog element all within a ‘blog’ page, so is this the cause or is something else blocking it?

Here is an example if you want to go through the blog pages:
https://www.justbbguns.co.uk/blog/. Look at page 3 and then the Canonical.

We have Yoast, but not the Pro, but we would have thought it would just do it properly.

An error occurred in the ‘keywordDensity’

Remove slogan in slugs

Hello,

I have an automatic “slogan” on all my urls. I’ve already checked :
– WP settings slogan : it is not that
– WP settings permalinks : set on https://plantb.bio/exemple-article/ (publication title)
So, I wondered where I might have entered it to remove it. I thought of Yoast but can’t find anything on Yoast menus. On Yoast, already checked :
– configuration assistant
– SEO settings / publication types
Could you please help find where to remove it ?
Thank you !

Reading the content of snippets

Dear support-team,

In 2018 we used the normal editor to write our texts in posts. Everything worked fine with Yoast SEO. With the beginning of 2019 we decided to put all information for the post in an own MySQL table. Now every post has only on line, that loads the content with a snippet. Example: [php snippet=5 param="country=germany&name=neuschwanstein"].
In 2018 we already used some snippets and Yoast was fine with it. I had the feeling Yoast was considering the content of the snippets.
Now the content of the snippets is completly ignored. We get a bad grading by Yoast because of the missing content that is loaded by the snippet.
Did you change something? I thought Yoast was reading the content of the snippets?
Is it possible to activate somewhere so Yoast reads the content of the snippets?

Thank you for your help!

Excluded by ‘noindex’ tag, Affected pages 124.
No: ‘noindex’ detected in ‘X-Robots-Tag’ http header

I’ve got 124 pages effected by this ‘noindex’ problem.
I’ve tried switching off and on ever plugin and retesting.
Only by deactivate SEO, does it becomes indexable.
Basically I cannot find a plugin conflict any help would be appreciated.
I’ve left it switched on for now.

Yoast SEO blank in WooCommerce Products

Hi there,

I have had an issue with Yoast SEO and another plugin for some time and my Yoast SEO plugin was on version 5(something, I didn’t write it down). Yesterday I managed finally update the Yoast SEO plugin to version 10.1.2. After I updated I started having issues with the SEO panel in WooCommerce.

When editing blog posts the Yoast SEO panel is working normally. When editing or creating a new WooCommerce product the Yoast SEO panel is blank.

I entered troubleshooting mode (based on one of the Yoast SEO help articles) and attempted to recreate the issue to try figure out the problem but was unsuccessful. I’m not sure how it is possible to try troubleshoot when WooCommerce is not in troubleshooting mode.

I installed the Health Check, and it isn’t showing any issues.

Any suggestions on how I can get my Yoast SEO panel back in my WooCommerce products?

Wordpress Version 5.1.1
Yoast SEO Version 10.1.2
WooCommerce 3.5.7
PHP version 7.1

Thanks in advance,
Rebecca

Yoast SEO is covering the new Gutenberg blocks when typing new post

Yoast SEO is covering the interface of my blog post. When I go to ‘Add new” and start to write a new post, by the time i get to the third or fourth block of text, the text is COVERED. Yoast SEO and Post Setting are obstructing the view of my actual post that I am trying to write and wind up covering half the page.

I guess this plugin is clashing with Gutenberg, but I will have to uninstall it if this isn’t fixed because it is ruining my writing experience altogether…

Incorrect facebook thumbnail when sharing home page

Hi! So before I updated Yoast recently when you type in my web address http://awayweventure.com the thumbnail shows my logo which is what I want to show.

Not sure what changed but now it doesn’t show that logo at all and uses my profile picture. I changed the settings in the Yoast Plugin and ran it through debugger and it is not updating to the image I have set. I was wondering if there’s anything I am doing wrong that’s making this happen?

Thanks!

Sitemap acces from Plugin: Wrong URL / Sitemap has wrong URLs in it

Hello all,

I have a weird issue with my XML-Sitemap.
When I manually enter the following URL I see the sitemap:
https://soltauhome.dyndns.org/Travelblog/sitemap_index.xml
But when I go to my Admin Backend, select YOAST -> General -> Functions (Sorry, my installation is in german, I hope I got it translated right) and klick on the “?” besides XML sitemap and then klick on “View XML-Sitemap” the URL that is opened is wrong. It shows https://soltauhome.dyndns.org/Travelblog/index.php/sitemap_index.xml and I see a “This page can not be found” error.

Also, the URLs within that sitemap are wrong. For example there is a link to the “posts”-Sitemap which is:
https://soltauhome.dyndns.org/Travelblog/index.php/post-sitemap.xml
Again, if I remove the “index.php” from the url so it looks like this:
https://soltauhome.dyndns.org/Travelblog/post-sitemap.xml
it works fine.
Interestingly, the links in the post-sitemap all work fine. For example this one:
https://soltauhome.dyndns.org/Travelblog/index.php/2018/12/24/wie-verplant-kann-man-eigentlich-sein/
As you see, this one has and needs the “index.php” and works just fine.

Can someone give me directions as to what the issue is here?

Thank you in advance Kind regards,
Martin

Prevent Yoast to integrate codes to metatags

$

Hello everyone,

I built my site on WordPress a few years ago, making the mistake (in my opinion) of using) a page builder plugin. If this plugin helps a lot at first, I fill my source code phrases in square brackets, for example “[/ vc_column_text] [vc_row_inner] [vc_column_inner width =” 1/2 “] [vc_column_text]”.

Today, I see that Google and other search engines have punished me regarding SEO because it seems they take into account the source code of the plugin, which is irrelevant for SEO. Yoast, which is helping me to optimize my pages, automatically integrates these code phrases.

Is it possible to prevent search engines and Yoast from reading these codes to focus exclusively on the content?

Thank you in advance for your help.
