When I upgrade to the newest version of Yoast (14.9), it breaks Woocommerce payments for some strange reason (we’ve tested all other plugin upgrades, and Yoast is the one creating the issue).
When a user clicks “pay” for an order, it jumps them to the top of the page and shows a red error bar above checkout info without any information. The payment and info goes through to Stripe, confirms, and sends to Woocommerce, but Woocommerce doesn’t ping back, and instead creates a blank order in the Woocommerce Orders. So, the customer is confused, and we don’t capture their payment.
Wondering if any others are having this issue?

I am trying to create a post and for some reason I cannot get it to let me click the text portion. It’s like it’s stuck on visual. I tried to even edit an older post and the same thing is happening. I did a Twitter search to see if other users were having this issue and they are, but I saw no suggestions for fixes. It was perfectly fine a few days ago. If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.
UPDATE:
I tried deactivating plugins, starting with the one I most recently updated this morning and instantly my text option was back in business. I had a web designer set up my site for me, so now I am curious if the plugin I had to deactivate (Yoast SEO) is one I need to keep or find an alternative to.

I tryed the big internet, but could not find any answer. Ive made a filter which adds the primary category of a post in a custom post type. But now %category% is in the site map generated by Yoast. Ive made a question on github: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/63283294/remove-category-from-yoast-sitemap

With WP5.5.1 Yoast bumped over from below content to squished in the right side toolbar and it won’t go back. Is that intentional or is this a bug?

Hi,
Seams that there is a problem with Yoast and WordPress Multisite. If a “Super Admin” tries to edit or create a Post on a subsite and is not a site administrator, Yoast breaks Gutenberg. Looking at the console, it’s a problem related to has_cap().
The problems disappear if the Super Admin also becomes a subsite administrator, but this is a huge problem when there are hundreds of subsites.

Under the Advanced second on a page, I change the setting for “Allow search engines to show this Page in search results” to NO and “Should search engines follow links on this Page” to NO.
When I save the settings, they both go back to YES. What’s causing this? Why won’t they stay set to NO?

Have lot of translated data with wp-multilang and have noticed few days ago that my metadata tags are not transalted correctly.
Have disabled Yoast and is starts working again.

Hello, I have tested Yoast FAQ on 3 sites with
https://search.google.com/test/rich-results
and all the questions and answers are under Carrousels instead of FAQ Rich Snippet.
FAQ are really nothing to do with Carrousels. So I don’t understand why when I add FAQ Questions with Yoast, google find both carrousels and faq. And in FAQ rich snippet there is no questions or answers there.
I checked others sites that are not using Yoast plugin and the FAQ are considered as FAQ rich snippet
So is it normal? or what is the issue here?
And if it is how it should suppost to work, will Google understand? Because it seems very weird to me.

Want to keep Caegories and Tags as Noindex but when I do that my posts which are associated with those tags or categories also get Noindex meta tag. What to do?

The facebook display image is not updating. It’s not showing the correct image. I have tried uploading the correct image on the Yoast plug-in, featured image of the page, and page SEO. I have cleared the cache through a plug-in with no results. Whenever I post the home page link on facebook it shows a different image.

Hi,
Is there a way I can set the default schema settings per category. For example I have a website with Review, Guides and News. So instead of manually updating each News (i have 100s of) can I just set the Type to NewsArticle for the entire News Category? So all the news in the News category show the Type NewsArticle and rest of article, reviews etc can show type as Article?
Any custom function/hook or anything that can be used to set this…

I use Yoast for SEO and WPBakery for building out web pages.
For meta description I simply put %%excerpt%%
On most of the pages it works, but on some it just generates a code from WPBakery, that looks like this:

Im using the latest versions of both plugins.
What could be the reason for the issue?
