The Default WordPress search page is showing the following error:-
There has been a critical error on your website.
The error is due to a conflict with Yoast Plugin. (Once I deactivate Yoast it automatically starts working fine.)
Yoast Version – 14.4.1
Wordpress Version – 5.4.2
Everything thas has been mentioned in the https://wordpress.org/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/
The URL has been checked by us.

Yoast version 14.4.1 breaks the link functionality in the Headline block from the GenerateBlocks plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/generateblocks
The Headline block from GenerateBlocks allows you to add a link to any text in the block, but with Yoast version 14.4.1 installed the link icon is missing
With Yoast disabled the link icon is there and functions correctly
With Yoast 14.3 the link icon is there and functions correctly
So in Yoast 14.4.1 the new ‘nofollow’ and ‘sponsored’ link options are obviously in conflict with the link in the Headline block

The Headline block functioning correctly with the link icon:

The Headline block with Yoast 14.4.1 installed – the link icon is missing:

Hi,
After recently noticing an issue I had with duplicate content, I changed settings on Yoast to ensure categories, pages, collections etc were not to be shown on Google.
However, I’ve noticed since recrawling my website, Google is still indexing the pages etc, but now just not including them in the sitemap?
Could you please let me know why the pages are still being indexed, and what I can do to resolve it?
Thanks

Hello Team,
A few months back we have had installed the Yoast plugin for the automated sitemap.
Before that, we were using a manual XML sitemap. so we decided to proceed with your plugin as we are an e-commerce website so a lot of URLs get added & deleted every day.
Currently, after using Yoast plugin we are seeing that our URLs are crawled by google but are not indexing. so as per you or your team, what might be the reason for the same?
we have around 25k URLs in the submitted sitemap.
In coverage
1.7k URLs are valid
6 URLs are blocked by robots.txt as those URLs are some unwanted URLs that should not be crawled and none other URLs are referring any other thing.
1 URL is no index
20.2k URLs are currently crawled but not indexing.
2.6k URLs are Duplicate, submitted URL not selected as canonical.
41 URLs are Discovered – currently not indexed.
What can we do to solve this issue of indexing, Please do help us ASAP!
Thanks & Regards

Hello
Yoast seems to have frozen on my blog – all the options are gone, there is a banner to upgrade to premium and a message to build the index but the button doesn’t work.
I deactivated all other plugins
Did the health check
Uninstalled and reinstalled and it is the same.
I have a screenshot to show this issue more clearly – any ideas?

Hello.
I have published a new web site last week and registered sitemap in Google. Tody I got a Coverage Issue “Submitted URL marked ‘noindex’ “.
I switched off xml sitemaps in Yoast Settings. I purged all cache. Logged out and again in WP admin and re-enabled Yoast xml sitemaps.
Removed old sitemap_index.xml from Google ans submited again.
Testing mysite.gr a still get a ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag.
Viewing page source though I see <meta name=”robots” content=”index, follow” />.
Any suggestions please?
Thank you

If you google “os roger van riet” google shows a featured snippet with the wrong image of professor roger vant riet. The image it shows is clearly another consultant on the same site, an image which is correctly labelled and does not appear on roger’s page. What is happening here? Many thanks

SCENERIO:
I am developing on local, and another plugin I am required to use for the project forced me to rename my local development url so that the license would see it as a development version of the licensed site, rather than another site/separate install. When I changed all the settings in my local config files and renamed it in MAMP, everything seemed fine until I tried to use my Yoast generated breadcrumbs. They were for the old url pattern still. I dug around for awhile trying to get things to re-index, but I couldn’t get any luck.
PROBLEM:
I found the wp_yost_* tables in the database and realized that you are indexing the whole URL in the permalink field on a post. You are not pulling the current site_url() from WP.
COST:
It took several hours to figure out, but I had to delete the Yoast SEO plugin, drop every table and delete every row with “wp-seo” and “yoast” in it, then re-install the plugin to get a fresh install, and subsequently a fresh post url permalink index triggered.
SOLUTION:
A site url change should be detected and then re-indexing should be triggered, OR the permalink indexing should be path only and should be dynamically generated by combing site_url() and permalink-path

Hello everyone! I am searching for some help because I can’t fix Google Search Console Logos error for almost a month. The problem is 100% generated by the Yoast plugin. The error is a logos error. There is written that there is “missing field ‘url'”. The description says that the problem is “unnamed item”.
After analyzing the problem in Google Structured Data Testing Tool, it shows that the error occurs in this line of Yoast plugin code:
Does anyone know how to fix it? I will be very grateful for help.

Hi there!
I’ve got a blog post which has a red status value for SEO value and readability on the blog post overview page.
However, if I open the article to edit it, both values are green light.
Which value is correct? What can I do to fix this issue?

Hello. I have problem with my featured image from my site always different from facebook fetch. It turns out Facebook pulling image from first whatever appear on top of paragraph. I think there are another thread with similar complain. But anywasy, here is one example from my site (https://amhmagz.com/).
Site image – correct
http://imgbox.com/WzUesWra
Facebook page fetch – wrong
http://imgbox.com/yA5JxLvO
This didn’t happen in previous version of Yoast plugin. I forgot which one but anything that worked in WordPress 4.8. Yes I just migrate from 4 to 5.4 (roughly 2 weeks) so I could try Guttenberg. But it turn out this block editor still has a lot of problem (something about JSON update failed bla-bla-bla) forcing me back to classic editor. Before I update, Yoast tab in WP 5.4 didn’t appear properly. After update to latest version it work but now I got this Feature Image problem.
Oh yes I was thinking lets just set image in Facebook tab.
facebook tab
http://imgbox.com/D91Jj1qX
Does it work? The answer is yes and no. What I mean here if I publish my article first time, Facebook still fetch first image not in featured image. But if I update the same post then force Facebook scrape using share debugging tools, now it show correct image that I intended to show at Facebook. I don’t want to update post if possible because previous version it just work when I hit publish button.
Here one post that I update then finally show correct image at Facebook.

I was thinking try another open graph plugin but not sure if this will conflicting with yours.
Short version: old version Yoast plugin open graph work properly. Latest version (June 2020) get wonky with Featured image.
Note: post published before 16 June 2020 is using old version. I noticed the problem after 21 June when the image not showing what I intended.
Thank you for you attention.

it seems yoast has recently added over 30k records in wp_terms_taxonomy and wp_terms tables. some seem to be legitimately prominent words, though many are html code and random things which shouldn’t be considered prominent words.

our website has over 30k posts, though we are considering trimming them back to posts that are less than a year old, which would place us around 10k posts. we are concerned that yoast is adding significant overhead. is there features that should be disabled when you have several thousand posts?
we are using the yoast premium plugin and are having performance issues with our website over the past week.

I have selected the • (•
) symbol for my title separator in Yoast, which is causing a XML parsing error preventing my RSS feeds from validating with this W3C Feed Validation Service error:
This feed does not validate.
line 12, column 30: XML parsing error: <unknown>:12:47: undefined entity [help]
<title>You searched for test • My Website</title>
I would like to keep the • (•
) symbol for my title separator, but need to remove the symbol from the RSS feed <title>
–I think this could be considered a bug for Yoast, but -in the meantime- any help or suggestions on how this can be fixed would be very appreciated!

Hi there,
I have more than 6500 users on my website and I’d like to clean my database.
I’m begining with the wp_usermeta in which there are a lot of lines coming from Yoast SEO. I do not use archives for authors or users.
So, my question is simple: Can I manually remove all this unused lines without triggering a conflict ?
Have a nice day and stay safe !
