We added breadcrumbs to our website (only Blog pages: Main Blog Page, Single Blog Post, Archive Pages) using “Yoast SEO” plugin.
It is set, works and displayed this way:
Main Blog Page > “category” > “post name”
Our website has more than 3000 blog posts and 10 categories that have been published since 2011.
The Yoast breadcrumbs were enabled on last week.
ISSUE:
We found that the breadcrumbs of many old posts have the wrong category. Instead of the correct category (name and link), the name and link of some image are displayed. This is not featured image, it is the same image for multiple posts in the same category. And it is assigned instead of a category in breadcrumbs.
For example, correct breadcrumbs:
Main Blog Page (/blog/) > News (/blog/category/news/) > Student Challenge (/blog/news/student-challenge/)
BreadCrumbs with the wrong category:
Main Blog Page (/blog/) > TableImage (/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/TableImage.jpg) > Student Challenge (/blog/news/student-challenge/)
The last breadcrumb is not a link, it’s just the title of the current post
I tried changing the category for these posts, but when checking they again had a title and image link instead of a category in breadcrumbs.
More than half of all posts have the correct category in breadcrumbs (this may be the same category that is not displayed in other posts)
PS
All plugins, themes, and WP core are updated regularly.
There are no other problems on the site (including WP_DEBUG mode check)

Currently, Yoast breadcrumbs links the following way:
Level 1: https://dev.socialpronow.com/blog/category/dating/
Level 2: https://dev.socialpronow.com/blog/category/general-social-skills/
Level 3: https://dev.socialpronow.com/blog/category/general-social-skills/making-conversation/
However, we’d like it to link the following way:
Level 1: https://dev.socialpronow.com/blog/category/dating/
Level 2: https://dev.socialpronow.com/blog/category/general-social-skills/
Level 3: https://dev.socialpronow.com/blog/category/making-conversation/
In the first example, Yoast adds the Level 2 category (general social skills) to the Level 3 category url.
We’d like it to never add parent categories to child’s URL:s
Is there any code we can add for this?
We don’t want to filter out certain categories as we have dozens of categories on our site, but just make sure that it always uses the taxonomy /blog/category/lowest-category and never /blog/category/second-lowest-category/lowest-category

Inferred Property
The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Missing Properties
The following required properties are missing: og:url, og:type, og:title, og:image, og:description, fb:app_id
Tried many fixes including plugin check, scraping check and many other tries.
Open graph is also enabled in seo.
Sometimes it shows the preview while sharing in the any news . sometime shows the property issue.
How to fix this tried many from the web any didn’t worked.

Hi guys,
I always outbound and inbound links to all my articles but on the yoast analysis , it always shows missing. Sometimes when I keep on updating refresh button, it analysis button does turn green for a while. But then it goes back to showing that outbound and inbound links are missing
Where am I going wrong? Please help

Hi,
After updating to v14, I am having a fatal error on product category pages that
do have an image as a thumbnail. If I remove the image the error goes away.
Here are some details:
– Latest WP and WOO
– We have updated plugins, Yoast and Yoast for Woocommerce.
– Searching through files the only instances of “wpseo_opengraph” are from wpseo-woocommerce and wordpress-seo plugins.

a few days ago i changed “seo title” and “meta description” of my pages, and today when i searched them i see no changes!
How is it working? Does it take much longer to apply?

Hello
At some point my OG data has stopped working across Twitter and Facebook. All images on past posts have also disappeared. I have used Twitter card validator and Facebook debugger to try and gain some insight but to no avail. I thought it might be a plugin conflict but I can’t see any duplicate tags. This has happened across two sites I run so I suspected a server error but others have no issues.
Any insights you could offer would be really appreciated.
On Facebook debugger, I currently get this output.
Provided og:image URL, https://thespoilist.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/John-Connor-Dark-Fate.jpg could not be processed as an image because it has an invalid content type.

My post listing page has been looking really strange and crammed. Going through all my plugins and removing them, YOEST was the one causing this. I’ve re added yoest and the problem continues. I’d like to keep using but this is a very frustrating problem, especially when I need to find a post and edit it.

Hi, I’ve been trying to set up Pinterest Rich Pins for my website using Yoast SEO metadata.
I’ve edited the Google Preview snippet to include a metadata description but when I try to validate my Pinterest Rich Pin and then pin the image, nothing shows up in the image titles and descriptions.
Is there somewhere else that I can change the post metadata or any other way I can resolve this issue?

Dear all,
since two months all my SEO tools report about wrong canonical links.
So I detected that in the head section of my categories and tags there are wrong canonical links.
Example:
https://www.relyon-plasma.com/surface-treatment/specific-solutions/?lang=en
<link rel=”canonical” href=”https://www.relyon-plasma.com/surface-treatment/specific-solutions/?lang=en/” />
This canonical tag is set by Yoast. Can you tell me how to prevent that Yoast sets canonical tags on its own?
