Idk how SEO titles can add something in your post titles. It shuld change just your SEO titles for searching engines. Did you do some steps before? Do you use some other plugin for changing post titles...

I know what is the problem! SEO by Yoast is using same functions as your theme. This causes it to change your actual post titles. You should write to the theme developer for comparability with this...
